About the event

This is an impressive exhibit featuring the collection of former Minnesota Viking and Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Alan Page and his late wife Diane Page. It is a traveling version (to be read) of their artifact collection of African American history. You can listen to an interesting MPR interview with him here.

There are of course other exhibits in the museum for younger children that won't or can't read the majority of the display. While we booked this field trip with fairly little notice, we tried to give you a week's time to plan if you would rather not bring younger children because of their ability to read or the concepts of slavery, etc being troubling to them. This exhibit comes highly recommended and should be well worth your older students' time.
